Tea

While in Taiwan, I had a fantastic lunch at TWG in the Taipei 101 Tower.

TWG, based in Singapore, have over 800 varieties of tea! When it comes to tea they are the premier provider in the world. Based in Singapore, they have shops in 20 countries, typically in the major city in each. The shops are mostly located in Asia and the Far East, as well as London, New York, Paris and Casablanca. TWG stands for The Wellbeing Group. I forget the tea variety that I had, but I think it was a Ceylon from Sri Lanka.

Foie Gras

The two main types of foie gras available are duck and goose with goose being the more expensive. Most of the best quality come from France; Rougié brand is available as a product of France or Quebec. They are available whole in vacuum sealed packages or canned in smaller portions. They typically seem to be prepared with cognac, spices or truffles, or a combination.

Malagos Chocolate

Most chocolate today is not pure chocolate. Even luxury brands like Lindt add artificial flavour. Malaga chocolate of Mindanao in the Philippines. In 2020 they won four gold medals and one bronze for their drinking chocolate at the renowned Schokoladen Gourmet Festival in Hannover. The Malagos Garden Resort in Davao city is also there which would make an interesting place to stay. Gone with the Wynns have a good video on visiting the chocolate factory. They have a Canadian office but show only beans for sale on their website.
